Equipment for drinking water transmission and distribution networks
Volta Power supplies water utilities, municipalities, engineering consultancies and water works contractors with the equipment needed to build and maintain drinking water networks, from transmission mains to customer service connections, in Morocco and West Africa.
Our range covers network valves (resilient-seated gate valves from DN50 to DN800, butterfly valves up to DN2000, dual-plate check valves), single- and triple-function air valves for air management in pipelines, connection fittings (flange adaptors for PVC and HDPE pipes, self-restrained dismantling joints, Gibault joints), flow straighteners installed upstream of meters, and DN100 fire hydrants.
For customer service connections, we offer brass meter inlet and outlet valves, tapping saddles, surface boxes, riser boxes and water meter boxes. Ductile iron equipment is protected by an epoxy coating and designed to EN, ISO and DIN standards (EN 1074, EN 593, EN 1092-2, EN 14384…). The full catalogue can be downloaded as a PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Gate valve or butterfly valve: which one to choose?
The gate valve offers full bore: it is ideal for isolating distribution networks from DN50 to DN800. The butterfly valve, more compact and lighter, suits large diameters (up to DN2000), pumping and treatment stations, and can also be used for regulation.
What is an air valve used for in a water network?
It releases the air that accumulates at high points of pipelines, which reduces flow and promotes water hammer. A triple-function air valve also discharges air during filling and lets air in during draining, protecting the pipeline against vacuum.
Are flange adaptors suitable for HDPE pipes?
Yes. We offer a version for PVC pipes and a version for HDPE pipes fitted with a brass locking ring, for outside diameters from 40 to 315 mm, in PN10 or PN16.
